The Astronomical Society of Nevada’s monthly public star party will be held on the western peninsula of Sparks Marina on Friday, July 17th. The event begins at sunset – 8:24pm.

Sparks Marina Star Parties
Free public star parties on the western peninsula of Sparks Marina (end of Nichols Blvd). The park lights are dimmed for the event. Beginning at sunset and continuing for about two hours, weather permitting.
Bring family, friends, and even your own scope — members are happy to help newcomers learn how to use one. Check the calendar above for the next date; events are cancelled in the event of clouds or high winds.
Monthly Member Meetings
Held the second Tuesday of each month, 6:30–9:00 p.m. Meetings feature a guest speaker or member presentation, club business, and time to socialize.
Visitors are always welcome. If you’re considering joining the ASN, attending a meeting is a great way to introduce yourself.
Member-Only Dark-Sky Nights
Members are invited to private observing sessions at darker sites away from city light, scheduled around new moon and announced via The Asteroid newsletter and our member discussion group. Locations are shared with members directly to protect site relationships.
